Another Door Opens

Dear Michael,

As our time draws near, I would like to take the time to thank you for the opportunity, experience and pleasure of working for you. The doors closing will lead to doors opening - for you and your family as well as mine.

I still remember (18 years ago) when I interviewed with you and Cheryl. Your concern was that the position I was about to accept was at a lower level than the position I was leaving. The opportunity you gave elevated my position in life more than you know. I was able to provide my children with a home, stability and values I have learned working for your company. Thank you.

With these doors closing I take experience that cannot be taught or learned in a class room setting. Life valuable - how to work with people -how to be compassionate - how to be patient - how to be generous - how to share - how to listen - how to help - how to ask for help - how to say "Thank you."

Over the years, you have provided many fun activities that opened my eyes and I have passed on to my children with vacations and experiences that they will pass on to their children. The world is bigger than your backyard, go and experience it. But don't forget your backyard and the comfort it can bring you in your time of need.

Being a part of your company has seen me through many life monumental moments - 1 home, 1 divorce, 3 vehicles, seeing 2 children through school, 2 graduations, 1 child getting married, 1 grandchild being born.

Thank you for bringing us into your life and sharing your monumental moments - your wonderful wife and precious baby. We are blessed.

Now, with these doors closing I have opportunities of new doors opening. I can go back to college, I can volunteer at the hospital, I can help out my elderly parent, I can do what I want to. I am truly thankful, excited and sad all at the same time.

I will miss this life I had with your company and as the saying goes, "All good things must come to an end." Now is the time for our new adventure to begin. Yours as well as mine. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Merian
